I suggest you just write down the key sentences of the book, and try your best to grasp the key concepts and principles in the book. That's OK.
The book is not the Bible. Not all of the words in it are right, and since it is written in 1999, 4 years past, some concepts changed.
I also begun to read the book again, and I think Car and some other students like to study the book too. So maybe we can group together to read the book again. You know 1.5 years ago our lab have studied the book together, but the result was not as good as we excepted.
Just a suggestion. I do admire your strong spirit to study.

FSNLP is very good for me to be familiar with the konwledge of this area quickly.
While reading today's 10 pages,I begin to understand the difference of Rationalism and Empiricism approachs to NLP.

以前听我的高数老师说，哈工大数学系最有名的吴从忻教授就抄书，吴教授认为这样能够理解得投：-）
也许慢就是快吧，基础打牢了，将来想跑想飞都可以，基础没打牢，将来回头一看，千疮百孔，而年龄已经老大，届时后悔也来不及了。

呵呵，原来“抄书”在咱们学校还有这番历史呀！
嗯，将来再遇到什么经典的书籍，如果有时间一定要“抄”下来呀。
